Week 6 and what strides the dogs & their families have made. I love the confidence they have putting their dogs in sits and downs and then just walking away. Many people have said that obedience training makes dogs lose their personalities. I think not. They are still mad but giving their handlers more attention now

The end of 8 weeks of hard work. The dogs were awesome yesterday. No barking, no pulling on the leash, polite to people and dogs they met for the first time … not being a nuisance in public places. A testament of how good they were ….. two persons who were watching them came up to me and asked me for my card. You guys rock !!!

GR Basic Good Manners Class Plus JOY (Week 3)

Our 1st Golden Retriever Basic Good Manners Class plus our puppy, JOY, graduated yesterday. It’s only been 3 weeks but look at them heeling so nicely to music. I think Goldens were made to dance. Don’t they look gorgeous ?

It’s hard to believe that only a month ago, these dogs were dragging their owners around, charging at other dogs and basically doing whatever they felt like doing. It’s week 5 and look at their loose leashes. That’s impulse control in action. Their families have put in a lot of work with these dogs and I salute them

Our new Group Obedience Class started yesterday and I must say the dogs in this class are stinking cute. Here they are going through their confidence building and bonding exercises. Really looking forward to spending my Sunday evenings with them .

Week 6 – We played the “leash in the pocket heeling” game. Must say all the teams put up pretty respectable performances. Charcoal won 1st prize w Kolden coming up a close 2nd. Good stuff, class

It’s week 3 and I must say that the class is coming along nicely. I’m particularly impressed w the dogs being able to hold their long sits even when their handlers are running away from them . First lesson on heeling and look at them go. We shld form a contingent for our National Day Parade next year. Haha … . Well done, teams !!!
